We are a non-profit organization dependent upon the generosity of our donors and from various fundraisers held throughout the year for our operation. The Humane Society's mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect to animals by operating an animal shelter for homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals; by operating an adoption center for healthy animals; by investigating cruelty and abuse cases; and by educating the public in responsible pet ownership.
If you are needing to surrender an animal, please note that we only accept animals from Clinton County residents. At any given time we are at capacity and we cannot guarantee that a surrendered animal will not have to be euthanized. Please exaust every avenue to re-house your pet before surrendering it to the HSCC.

Paw Pals
Paw Pals was founded in September of 2001 by Lisa Ristow. They are dedicated to helping the homeless pets of Clinton County, Indiana. They raise funds for the animals at the Humane Society of Clinton County who are in need of vet care and to purchase items for the shelter that will help to provide comfort to the animals housed here.
They also maintain their website to promote our cause, encourage community involvement, educate about spaying and neutering, work with rescues, and do all they can to raise adoption numbers. Their volunteers spend countless hours working with, caring for, and promoting our furry friends.
The HSCC is very lucky to have such an organization working with us. Their support is invaluable to all that we do!
Thank you...
We would like to say a BIG "Thank You" to everyone who gives of their time and money to keep this shelter running, whether it's walking the dogs, raising funds, donating items, or doing whatever is needed at the time. We couldn't do what we do without you!
